Chapter 3 (p.34-47)
Katniss is led to the Justice building at the start of chapter three and is given the opportunity to say her final goodbyes to her family. We learn in this goodbye that her mother had abandoned Prim and her at one point and that at age 11, Katniss has become head of the household. Katniss also spends a brief amount of time with Peeta’s father and Gale (who gives her cookies), both of whom pledge to look after Prim. Madge gives Katniss a pin symbolizing District 12, a mockingjay bird.
Katniss and Peeta are then taken by car to the trains station where they are greeted by reporters. After time to clean up, in what to Katniss is luxury, she has dinner with Peeta and Effie Trinket. She then learns of the other tributes and Haymitch’s role at the Hunger Games.

and for mom not to run away again.
3- Katniss will be facing people that have been trained for the hunger games.
4- Gale most likley said that is because people are just getting hunted down and killed. Also I do ot think that katniss agrees because she probaly does not know if that is true. I also can not say a part in this because I have not the entire book yet.
5- Katniss is most likely afraid because all the districts and the capital are going to be watching it.
6- Well both the Capital and District 12 are located in the aplication mountains in the country of panem.
7- A mockingjay bird is a bird that was created by the mutation of the mocking bird and the bird that was a spy in the rebelion.
8- Well in my opion I did not think that she liked it but however she said that it was better than last years group of two in district 12.
9- Well I think that it suprised the TV commentators from the reaping because they expected district twelve to clap.
10- Well Haymitch played the role of keeping both Peeta and Katniss alive as their coach.

3 Overall Katniss is facing kids that found this a treat and have been training for it their whole lives.
ReplyDelete4 Gale says theres basically no difference between a human or animals right which is true but most would agree with Katniss' side that you shouldnt kill your own species.
5 Katniss doesnt want millions of people to see her tears.
6 In the area we know of, of West Virginia.
7 The mockingjay was a mutation bird used for spying.
8 Effie compared them to savages, but no one could blame them for acting that way.
9 District 12 knows that theres 99% chace you will be slaughtered, so why celebrate?
10 Haymitch is District 12 participant's master and teacher.

4. To survive in The Hunger Games, you must hunt your opponents, then kill them, like an animal. And yes, I do agree, because despite our somewhat "evolution", we definitely haven't evolved all the way yet. We have an animal in us, we're just more evolved than other animals. I mean, in order to survive, you eat meat, which was made BY an animal. Now, I'm not saying they should be cannibals (although it would make the story MUCH MORE interesting), but I'm just simply pointing out that we are very similar to animals, and The Hunger Games are games of hunting, in a source. And that's why I agree. And you probably will NEVER, EVER see SaNcHo write this much again for the rest of the year. SO DON'T WORRY!!! But that's why I agree... PS, I like meat... Chicken's good too...

7. A mockingjay (HOLY CRAP! IT'S REAL!!!) is a bird that hums exactly how humans hum. In the right tone and everything. And her dad used to sing to them, and then the mockingjay's would sing back. It was sooo sweeet!!! AAAAHHHWEEEDOOO!!! :)
