Life As We Knew It - Chapter 7

In chapter 7, Miranda visits Megan, Jonny goes to baseball camp, and the family deals with new problems caused by the moons changing gravitational impact on the earth.
  1. Describe Miranda and Megan's conversation. What are each others' perspective on religion? Do you think they can continue being friends?

  2. What new natural disaster threat faces the world? Why? How will it/is it impacting Miranda's family in Pennsylvania?

  3. Miranda's mother describes how the family is living post-asteroid impact as "playacting." What does she mean by that? Why?

  1. 1. Well, Miranda is not very religious (possible Atheist???) and I'll put their continuing being friends this way, if I was Miranda, I'd be pretty fed up with being converted to "the light". I hate door-to-door religious crap...

    2. An asteroid is coming TO DESTROY YOUR HOUSE! And my guess is that it will not help Miranda's current situations anytime soon :(

    3. I think she means that before the asteroid hit, they really didn't have to worry about much. But now that it hit, it's super-dooper serious time. I am totally cereal...

  2. 1 Megan obviously sleeps through church. Miranda knows the most important aspect of religion and that is the gift of life.

2 Volcanoes. Everyone has to run for their lives! And it will make surviving more challenging.

3 The period after the asteroid hit and the impacts on the world.

  3. 1- Well mirandas point of view is that she is not very religious while Megan is very relgious.

2- Volcanoes will threaten the earth because they willl not be any sunlight. The volcanoes will also cause problems for Miranda's family because they can use their garden.

3- I think that means that the moon is causing all of this because of the asteriod hitting the moon.
