LAWNI - Chapter 10

This chapter features difficult decisions that need to be made about the upcoming school year as the book reaches late August. Miranda and Jonny must choose between attending either the elementary school or high school for instruction or choosing to be home schooled. On a bike run into the town, Miranda is confronted with the negative side of human nature as a gang of young men are looting the town's boarded up shops.

  1. 1. The challenges the school district faces in the upcoming school year is that the school has no food to give the kids and there might not be any heat at the schools ether.

    2. The school board plans to keep the schools open and their going to make sure theirs heat in the buildings and make sure there's teachers.

    3. The people of Howell PA are like prisoners because the people that live their can't leave there houses or if they do they can't really go any where because most of the stores are closed also the restaurants are to.

  2. The challenges they are faceing are not having enof teachers and there is no food to feed the students also there no heat.

    The school bords plan for keeping the schools open are to divide what teachers they do have between the two schools and they wont have after school programs and no specals.

    They are like prisoners because they cant leave there houses because if they do somthing might happion to them and they wont come back.

  3. The chalenges are that they will not have power or food or heat

    their plan is to have the children go to what ever school is closest to them

  4. 1.shipping food keeping warm and they might not have a lot of teachers because a lot of people are heading south and some students could freez or get hypothermia

    to ignore the the weather get an education and get used to it no body cares what you think or how you feel about how cold you are its shcool

    its dangrous and stuff
