Ender's Game - Chapter 12

  1. Why won’t the adults save Ender from Bonzo? Does Ender think the teachers will save him from real danger?
  2. How many boys come to beat Ender up in the shower? How does Ender control the situation so he only has to fight one?
  3. Who comes to save Ender? How does his intervention ensure Ender’s death?
  4. How is the fight with Bonzo similar to the earlier fight with Stilson?
  5. What happens to all of the soldiers in Dragon Army? What happens to Ender?
  6. How does the author remind us that these boys are still children?

5 comments:

  1. 1. They don't like him anymore (it could be jealousy, who knows...) And I don't think he has any expectations of what the teachers should do anymore.

    2. Six, and he guilt trips Bonzo and messed with his mind.

    3. Dinky. He said that Ender was worth something to Bonzo, and Bonzo cannot stand being nothing, so he picks on kids who are worth a lot to gain an inner respect and somewhat nirvana. (Does that make sense?)

    4. He had to do whatever he could to save himself from real severe damage. He also kicked Stilson in the balls too...

    5. Two teams attack the Dragon Army, and Ender watched the fight.

    6. Because of how old these kids are (6-11)

-Mr. BuNgLe CANNOT BE STOPPED! (No matter how many times the blame is put on him...)

  2. 1 The teachers want Ender to stick up for himself and learn sometimes he can't have help. Ender still believes if Bonzo was injuring him badly the teachers would come stop Bonzo.

2 Quite a few like 6, but Ender explained how it would not be honorable unless it was one on one.

3 Dink. He says how Ender is important to the survival of the Human race and he can't be killed. Bonzo just got more jealous of Ender that way.

4 Ender kept fighting even after he won.

5 The soldiers in Dragon Army will become commanders of other armies and Ender is going to a Commander school for 16+ year olds.

6 The tears throughout the story.
