Ender's Game - Chapter 6

“That launch is sick, and he’s the source of the disease. He stays till it’s cured.”

  1. Anderson and Graff have different ideas on how to handle the problems in Ender’s launch group. Whose way do you fell is better and why?
  2. What makes Ender different from all of the other boys in the battleroom? Give two examples.
  3. What happened when Ender and Alai worked together in the battleroom? How did this change the rest of the group?
  4. What does the game that Ender is playing do? What hard choice does Ender make and how might this be important?
  5. Thought Question: What has Ender learned so far that has nothing to do with the military or war?

3 comments:

  1. 1. Andy's. Because he is more at ease with Ender's issue.

    2. Unlike the rest of the kids, Ender's future is clearer than the rest. And also Ender is a 3RD.

    3. Alai freaked out, and Ender shot the floor.

    4. Free Play, where a computer chooses a game and you must play it. And Ender always loses, which I think is on purpose.

    5. That he is different, he was designed more specifically than any other of the boys there.

  2. 1 Anderson was more logical saying Ender should wait to go hang out with the big boys. I agree with Anderson.

2 Ender is more intelligent on how the room works and he is a third.

3 It brought up teamwork, and the groups got closer.

4 Ender played a video game and after losing over and over again decided to cheat, and play against the giant's rules.

5 Ender has learned more about himself, that he is talented in many ways.
