Ender's Game - Chapter 14 (Part 1)

“The other children.”
“You were brought here to take care of Ender Wiggin.”
“Just curious. Remember, they were all my students at one time or another.”

  1. Who are the children that Graff and Chamrajnagar are talking about?
  2. Why is Ender so uncomfortable on Eros?
  3. What did the “old man” do to Ender that he was so unused to?
  4. Why did Ender’s “teacher” attack him? What lesson did this teach Ender?
  5. What do Ender and his teacher have in common- who have they both learned from?

  1. 1. Former students of Graff's.

    2. He just feels that it's plain awkward. Everything about it just is described as awkward.

    3. He didn't talk to him, he just glared and looked at him.

    4. He caught him by surprise, like a real battle.

    5. From isolation.

  2. 1 They are talking about Ender.

2 Ender is surrounded by strangers.

3 The Old Man was actually winning the fight and Ender never lost one.

4 To test and teach Ender. The Old Man likely did it to teach Ender to keep his guard up always.

5 They learned from being lonely.
